Their parents were devastated with unrelieved grief. So many people among the Israelites have died as victims of evil and injustice. Today we remember the Holocaust in which 6 million Jews were callously murdered in Central and Eastern Europe. How should we try to understand all of these tragic occurrences?
Of course, these questions beset people of every nation—not just Israel. Ezekiel continued to have visions throughout his prophetic ministry. The one in the 37th chapter speaks directly to the desperate plight of Israel down through the ages. No matter how many times one rereads it, this account remains both arresting and suspenseful to the converted mind. But even more important is the profound meaning for us—and for our departed loved ones, who may never have been called of God or spiritually converted during this age.
God must not be underestimated. At the time appointed I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
Ezekiel's Vision of the Valley of Dry Bones: What Does It Mean? | United Church of God
Is there anything too hard for Me? Physical human beings cannot live without drawing breath—the essence of our fleshly life. God then summarizes what He had just described in detail. The New Testament also speaks to this incredible, miraculous phenomenon. By no stretch of the imagination is all of Israel being saved now during this present age of man. But God promises that the whole of Israel will have their opportunity for salvation in the future.
These called-out ones, true Christians, will be resurrected to receive everlasting life when Christ returns 1 Corinthians 1 Corinthians 50 Now this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption. Is this great resurrection exclusively for Israel? Or will other peoples and nations also be included? But this belief simply is not found in the Bible.

In fact the vast majority of mankind will receive their opportunity for salvation during the great resurrection to judgment that we have been reading about in Ezekiel Ezekiel 1 The hand of the LORD was on me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD , and set me down in the middle of the valley which was full of bones, 2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, see, they were very dry. The apostle John also refers to this resurrection to temporary physical life in Revelation Revelation 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life.
(Spoilers All) Petyr Baelish: King of the ashes?
God will judge them over time, just as those called to salvation today are judged over time during this present age by this very same standard, the books of the Bible 1 Peter 1 Peter For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? Many Bible readers misunderstand the nature and meaning of judgment, nearly always associating the term with sentencing to condemnation—not realizing that God is a merciful judge who patiently evaluates human existence with righteous discernment.
He earnestly desires to see the blood of His Son Jesus blot out the sins of as many as possible. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according to the manner. The real meaning of this celebration is rarely understood in modern theological circles. King Robert had been a prodigious spender. A man like Petyr Baelish who had a gift for rubbing two golden dragons together and breeding a third, was invaluable to his Hand.
Littlefingers rise had been arrow swift. Within three years of coming to court he had been made master of coin and a member of the small council, and today the crown's revenues were ten times what they had under his predecessor A master juggler was Petyr Baelish. Oh, he was clever. He did not simply collect the gold and lock in a treasure vault, no. He paid the king's debts in promises, and put the king's gold to work. He bought wagons, shops, ships, houses. He bought grain when it was plentiful and sold bread when it was scarce.
He bought wool from the north and linen from the south and lace from Lys, stored it, moved it, dyed it, sold it.

The golden dragons bred and multiplied, and Littlefinger lent them out and brought them home with hatchlings. And in the process, he moved his own men into place. The Keepers of the Keys were his, all four. The King's Counter and the King of Scales were men he named. The officers in charge of all three mints. Harbormasters, tax farmers, custom sergeants, wool factors, toll collectors, pursers, wine factors; nine of every ten belonged to Littlefinger.
They were men of middling birth, by and large, merchant's sons, lesser lordlings, sometimes even foreigners, but judging from the results, far more able than their highborn predecessors.
No one had ever thought to question the appointments, and why should they? Littlefinger was no threat to anyone. A clever, smiling, genial man, everyone's friend, always able to find whatever gold the king or his hand required, and yet of such undistinguished birth, one step from a hedge knight, he was not a man to fear.
He had no banners to call, no army of retainers, no great stronghold, no holdings to speak of, no prospects of a great marriage. I think the line was an allusion to Aerys saying 'let him be King of the Ashes' when he planned to burn Kings Landing as Robert was closing in. Loved the line in the show; failed to make that connection.
On this page you will find:
I certainly believe that Littlefinger admires meritocracy of nobility and feudalism. That said, I don't think he wants to overturn the 7 Kingdoms. As much as he wish he lived in a world where your birth doesn't matter, he wants power more. I think Littlefinger would rather be an unquestioned king than a democraticaly elected leaded with limited powers.
After all, as much as Feudalism has held him back, it also delivered him the Riverlands and the Vale. I can't see him attacking his own power base. Who said he wants a democracy? All he wants to do, like he said, is to fuck them. He wants to show the failings of the system, but to overturn it he would need power, he gathers it for that goal. Like ApertureLabs and DanLiberta mentioned, Sansa and Catelyn are just symbols of why he thinks the system has so many demerits.
I do not beleive he wants a democracy, more of a Napoleonic noble meritocracy rather than by right of birth or blood. Littlefinger wants power; I don't think he cares how the system is organised as long as he's at the top of it.

How the things are currently, he'd most likely need a puppet king who he could use to gain grasp of power, the exact sort of arrangement that would not fulfill his desired if we were to listen to this theory. Some sort of veiled democracy or any other system that undermined the current nobility would work in his favour in the quest of obtaining absolute power. Leveling the playing field, in a way, would leave him more room to act and would give a more solid foundation to his reign.
So thought this way the argument works both ways; Littlefinger does not care how he gets into power, only that he does. Either he is willing to destroy all tradition, or neglect his personal spite. In this case it would be more prudent to weigh which conclusion would bring him the closest to a solution that ensures his relevance on the long term.
With this question you also have to remember that you can't forget the general public. Although powerless on paper, in the end they're the source of all power. To have power means that you have control, and for that you have to have the general public believing that you should be the one in charge.
